The Richmond Hill High School girls soccer team blanked Lakeside Evans 2-0 on Wednesday in Evans in the second round of the girls' state Class AAAAA soccer tournament.

Micah Kanicki scored both RHHS goals on assists from Nia Gordon and Carly Mills. Maria Cuevas had eight saves for the Lady Wildcats, who will face No. 6-ranked Pope (14-2-3) at 3 p.m. Saturday in Marietta. 

Richmond Hill is in the state quarterfinals for the fifth time in 13 seasons under coach Steve Kollman.
