Richmond Hill’s Baily Davis, the only Wildcat golfer to advance to sectionals, shot 104 Monday in the AAAAA girls’ golf sectional at Heron Bay Golf Club in Locust Grove.

Richmond Hill finished eighth at the Region 3-AAAAA tournament on April 18 at Okefenokee Country Club in Waycross. Of the seven players who went, five were freshman. Richmond Hill shot 378, (Fred Roberts, 88; Jalen Murray, 95; Blake Forbes, 97; Turner Stephenson 98), while Camden County won the region with a score of 309. 

Davis shot a 91 to qualify for sectionals.

“It was a great learning experience for a young team,” Coach Russell Perry said. “They’ll have their day in the coming years.”
