The Lady Wildcats made short work of their opponent in the first round of the girls Class AAAA state soccer tournament Tuesday, beating Jonesboro High 10-0 under the GHSA mercy rule. .

Sarah Goolsby and Lindsey Vasher each scored three goals to pace RHHS. Tina Shwari had two goals and Bonnie Holleman and Julia Marcotte scored a goal each for RHHS, which improves to 16-2-1. Goolsby, Vasher and Kayla Taylor recorded assists for RHHS.

The Lady Wildcats will play the winner of the Whitewater vs. Thomas County Central game on May 3 in the second round.
