Golf tourney for Marine Rescue Squadron

The Marine Rescue Squadron Richmond Hill 7A, a not-for-profit organization, is sponsoring its annual golf tournament fundraiser on Friday, Oct. 4, at Sterling Links Golf Club in Richmond Hill. The tee time is 9 a.m., shotgun start. Proceeds from the tournament are used to fund volunteer rescue and recovery operations in and around the Richmond Hill waterways that aid local law enforcement and the U.S. Coast Guard.
Format is four-person captain’s choice. Entry Fee is $70 per person or $280 a foursome. Range balls provided. Prizes for low gross and low net awards. Lunch will be served after golf. For a good cause
Richmond Hill High School volleyball and softball boosters are teaming up this year to raise money for Breast Cancer Awareness in conjunction with GHSA Fall Sports Breast Cancer Awareness Week from Sept. 9-13. The softball game that week will be Sept. 9 vs. Wayne County, a JV/varsity doubleheader starting at 4 p.m. The team will be donating a check $ to the Youth Survival Coalition, YSC. A local organization that supports breast cancer awareness. For more information or to donate contact the high school. 

Richmond Hill Swim Club
The Richmond Hill Swim Club will be open this fall and winter, offering swim lessons for beginner, intermediate and advanced swimmers. There will also be a swim team for 5- to 18-year-olds, and the heated pool is also open during the day and on weekends to the public for open swimming and lap swimming.

RHATA looking for players
The Richmond Hill Area Tennis Association (RHATA) is looking for players to join the league for the upcoming fall season.
The RHATA is approved by both the USTA Section and National office as a registered community tennis association. It offers both competitive play and a fun, relaxed atmosphere for all levels of player. The season starts Sept. 8 and runs on Sunday evenings through November. Youth triathlon
Safe Kids Savannah, a coalition dedicated to preventing accidental childhood injuries, will be holding a youth triathlon for kids ages 9 -14 on Sept. 7. On-line registration is available but registration forms can also be downloaded at www.safekidssavannah.org or picked up at the Chatham County Aquatic Center or Fleet Feet Sports in Savannah and mailed to Safe Kids Savannah.
