Day run at J.F. Gregory

Georgia Game Changers is sponsoring a free Flag Day Father & Family Fun Run 5K at J.F. Gregory Park at 6:30 p.m. June 14, which is Flag Day. Georgia Game Changers’ Sandra Elliott said she wanted to have an event that encourages fathers and their families to get out the door and get fit together, as a family.

"So many Soldiers have returned recently from Afghanistan, and since it is Flag Day, I thought it would be great to sponsor an event that would be free and fun for families to do something healthy together," Elliott said.

According to Elliott, the mission of Georgia Game Changers is to provide a place for people to find the fitness accessories they need to "change their game."

"My vision is to have Dads and their families, running, carrying flags or dressed in red, white, and blue. We also plan to have patriotic popsicles at the finish line, just as a way to cap off the evening," Elliott added.

Participants will get a 15 percent off coupon to shop at Georgia Game Changers, for their dads in anticipation of Father’s Day, which is June 16. Fun Run participants are highly encouraged to sign up on the Georgia Game Changers Running Company’s Facebook page, or at the store. Call 912-445-2163 for more information.
