Game Changers Bike and Multisport will serve as host Tuesday during a patriotic bicycle ride. Lunch will be at the Game Changers Health and Fitness Complex at 8872 Ford Ave. in Richmond Hill.

Riding in honor and support of veterans and first responders, more than 150 injured veteran cyclists and their supporters will participate in the United Healthcare Beaches to Peaches Challenge, a seven-day bicycle ride covering more than 500 miles from Jacksonville, Florida, to Atlanta.

Cyclists begin their journey in Jacksonville on March 6 and finish in Atlanta on March 12, making overnight stops in Yemassee, South Carolina, Brunswick, Savannah, Augusta, Washington, and Athens.

The 2017 United Healthcare Beaches to Peaches Challenge is a non-competitive group therapy ride highlighted by patriotic peloton of hand cycles, recumbents, adaptive and traditional road bikes as they parade through city centers, visit historic sites and give communities the opportunity to honor our nation’s healing heroes.

As the red, white and blue-clad peloton travels past schools, corporate offices and local attractions, the public is invited and encouraged to gather along the ride routes, at lunch stops and hotels to support the cyclists.

Everybody is invited and encouraged to come out and support veteran cyclists as they roll into the Game Changers Health and Fitness Complex on March 7.  For more information, contact John Cameron with Game Changers Bike at 912-445-2640.
