This past Thursday, the BCHS tennis teams split with Claxton High School at a competition in Claxton when the boys lost 3-2 and the girls won 5-0. On Monday at home, the BCHS boys won 5-0 and the girls won 3-2 in matches against Jenkins County.

At Claxton, singles victories were scored by Caitlin Crowe, Melinda Lape, and Jenna Howell. Double victories were scored by David Cook and Scooter Anderson, Michael Kennedy and Derek Tucker, Ashley Barfield and Kari Groover, and Ashleigh Strickland and Lindsay Anderson.

Against Jenkins, singles victories were scored by Josh Stanfield, Trey Boatright, Cody Gunter, and Caitlin Crowe. Double victories were scored by Cook and Anderson, Kennedy and Tucker, Barfield and Groover, and Strickland and Anderson.
