This past week baseball and softball teams at Hendrix Park hit the diamonds for the annual opening season Ball-a-Rama. Twenty-two teams from Hendrix Park, Pooler, Garden City and  Bloomdale took part in the event.

Saturday, the park's youngest players kicked off the season with a T-ball Ball-a-Rama. Fun for the 4-6 year olds began with a parade from Black Creek Fitness to the park. Play lasted throughout the day with each team playing at least two games. The eight t-ball teams are sponsored by Pembroke Telephone.
