Letter to the editor: An open letter to Bryan County voters
LETTER TO THE EDITOR

Editor:

Hello Bryan County, I want to thank you for the great turnout for the November 8 midterm election. In Bryan County, 17,034 registered voters cast ballots, over 55% of all eligible voters. That is a record number for a mid-term election for Bryan County. For perspective, the national average for mid-term elections has been around 45%.

I also want to let you know that because of a move to Tennessee for family reasons, I have resigned from the Bryan County Board of Elections. It was with heavy heart I made that decision as I have found my time working with the Bryan County elections team to be the most fulfilling public service task I have ever undertaken.

From the full-time staff to the poll workers to my fellow Board members, I have found all to be professional and dedicated to giving the residents of Bryan County a superb elections system.

Thank you for the privilege of Chairing the Board of Elections.
