Be thankful for God’s love
pastor corner

Thank God that in his eyes all men are the same. God created all the races from two individuals, Adam, and Eve. They were created because of love.

God created man to love and worship him. God created man and placed man in a perfect peaceable world. It was a perfect place, and then sin came into the world.

Sin has been man’s problem from the beginning. Satan wanted man to leave God and follow him, and that is still the case. When Satan gets ahold of men, they do wicked evil things. God’s creation under the influence of evil does terrible things.

In fact, there was a time when man got so wicked that God was sorry he had made man (Gen. 6). God destroyed the earth and all men except Noah and his family. It was a terrible time. Sin was rampant, man disrespected man and God.

Noah was different. He was a man that believed God and he found grace in the sight of God (Gen. 6:8). Because Noah believed God and followed God’s instructions, he was able to save his family and begin again.

Man can do the same today look to God and follow his commands.

Christians, true followers of God, must set the example for those around them. Christians must let their light shine so that all can see the goodness of God.

“Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savior, wherewith shall it be salted? It is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

“Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven” (Matt. 5:13-16).

Some might say this is impossible, but with God all things are possible and the world can be changed. Christians must lead the way.

Thank God that he was willing to send Jesus to save mankind (Luke 19:10). When Jesus came into the world there was wickedness, oppression and many other sinful things going on.

Jesus lived among men but did not sin (Heb. 4:15). Man is not perfect, so sin will occur. But thank God man does not have to continue in sin.

Man can obey the gospel of Christ, by faith in Jesus, repenting of sin, confessing Jesus as the Son of God and being baptized for the remission of sin (the book of Acts). Thank God for his great love.

If man sins after he obeys the gospel, if he will repent and ask God’s forgiveness, God will once again forgive man (Acts 8). Without God man has no hope, thank God hope is found in Christ.

God has never cared about the color of a man’s skin. God cares about the soul, and that is what man should care about. Men will have different colors of skin, different ways of doing things, different likes and dislikes.

God wants man to love and worship him, just as in the beginning. God also wants man to love each other (Matt. 22:36-40). The world can be a better place, but man must look to God. Thank God, God loves man.
