The Apostle Paul reveals the truth about the hidden aspect of sin in an epistle to the church at Colosse. “And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled…” (Colossians 1:21). There is a real battle for the minds of people, and it is there where sin takes control.

Have you wondered what’s wrong with our youth? We see them manifesting anti-Semitism on our college campuses. We see them taking over intersections of major roads and interrupting traffic, having wild parties on spring break and dying daily from Fentanyl and other drugs. Abortions abound, marriage is mocked, and many unmarried simply live together while producing children for whom older adults must assume responsibility. The problem is rooted in what our children are taught in our public schools and universities as well as the disengagement of the family from the house of God. If we want our children to fear God, then the parents must stand and fight for what is right!

The question then becomes, “What is right?” The only way to the truth is to go to the truth – “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me” (John 14:6). The world still debates Jesus and His truth. For a real understanding of the truth, look at the world today – those who in areas where the gospel of Jesus Christ is freely preached tend to have more peace, better lives and often more prosperity. Those who reject Jesus may experience desperate lives under debilitating circumstances and oppressive governments. To reject Jesus is to be His enemy and live under the loss of His blessings. However, He came to reconcile enemies, not destroy them. Call upon Him today, surrendering your mind and heart to Him, and enjoy the difference.
