Westwin Elements is set to host a town hall on Monday, Feb. 2 at the Richmond Hill City Center in a bid to allay fears held by Bryan County residents regarding the company’s plans to establish a nickel refinery in Richmond Hill.
The Oklahoma-based company has faced backlash from locals, with many in Richmond Hill expressing concern over the potential environmental cost of the nickel refinery in Coastal Georgia.
CORRECTION: This issue will not feature on the agenda on the City of Richmond Hill's February City Hall meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 3, according to City Clerk Dawnne Greene.
