State Representative Ron Stephens has announced his re-election bid for the Georgia House of Representatives – District 164. 

Stephens is the Chairman of the House of Representatives Economic Development & Tourism Committee. He also serves on the Appropriations Committee, Creative Arts & Entertainment Committee, Rules Committee and the Ways & Means Committee.

According to Stephens, he has been "instrumental in being the head of the Chatham Delegation leading the Representatives and Senators on issues directly affecting the Coastal Empire. He has been a leading voice in the Georgia House of Representatives for the increased tourism of Georgia and creating tax credits for movies and television production making Georgia the number one state for movie production, outpacing California. He has been a stalwart in the House ensuring that the Coastal Empire has their interests represented and has set out to help in economic development activities including job creation at the port, the trade center and throughout the greater Savannah area."
