The murders of Carey and Philip Heidt of Rincon were the subject of a program airing Saturday on the Discovery Channel.

The program “Investigation Discovery” looked at the case, which resulted in Carey Heidt’s brother, Craig, being sentenced to two life sentences for the 2008 murder of Carey Heidt and their father, Philip. According to a January 2011 Associated Press article, the killings were the result of a feud over an affair between Craig Heidt and his brother’s wife, Robin. Craig Heidt was convicted in December 2010 and sentenced in January 2011.
