Richmond Hill High School graduate Jackson Martin earned a perfect score on a college-level Advanced Placement (AP) Exam in spring 2021, according to a press release from Bryan County Schools.

Jackson, a freshman at Georgia Tech, is reportedly one of only 375 students in the world to earn every point possible on the AP Research Exam.

“Jackson Martin’s exceptional work ethic and creativity served him well in AP Research. The class not only pushed him to – quite literally – perfection, but also provided him the opportunity to curate information on hurricanes, a topic that directly impacts the Richmond Hill community., said Arlie Cooper,  AP Research teacher. "AP Research was the perfect fit for Jackson because it offered academic freedom and real-world experience. It was truly a pleasure to guide him through AP Research, and I could not be more proud of the work he produced.”

“AP courses and exams are college-level, requiring great focus and persistence among participating students,” said Trevor Packer, head of the Advanced Placement Program. “We applaud the educators who encourage students to challenge themselves, who motivate and encourage diverse students to achieve their academic potential."
