The Douglas family of Richmond Hill has had a lot to celebrate in May.
Jaxon Douglas graduated from Wingate University while her brother Payton Douglas graduated from the United States Naval Academy and was commissioned as a 2nd lieutenant in the Marine Corps.
Both are graduates of Richmond Hill High School.

Jaxson L Douglas of Richmond Hill successfully completed four years of challenging academics while playing women’s basketball, graduating from Wingate University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication – Sports Media, cum laude. At Wingate Jaxson played all four years for the Women’s Bulldog Basketball team, including games in Puerto Rico and most recently this May, Athens, Greece. She is a graduate of Richmond Hill High School class of 2019
Payton E. Douglas of Richmond Hill successfully completed four years of challenging academic, physical and professional military training, graduating from the U.S. Naval Academy with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nuclear Engineering and Mechanical Engineering and a commission as a U.S. Marine Corps 2nd Lt. He is a graduate of Richmond Hill High School. At the academy Douglas was a member and leader of the CrossFit Blue and Gold Team.
