Every Day Boater (EDB) owner Hector Claudio gave a presentation last week to members of the Rotary Club of Richmond Hill about his business that offers high-quality, polarized glass lens sunglasses.

EDB is an independent, local business based out of Richmond Hill. Claudio has lived in coastal Georgia for four years and said he thoroughly enjoys the outdoors and boating. He became frustrated with the sunglasses on the market because they were either cheaply made or did not perform to his expectations, all while remaining overpriced, he claims. This passion led him to launch EDB, which offers quality sunglasses at a rate, he says, is 50 percent more affordable than the competition.

The product line is still in its early days but is growing quickly as EDB is working to extend its range of styles of polarized high contrast glass lens sunglasses offered at half the price of other premium brands.

EDB is stocked locally at various marinas, including Fish Tales at Fort McAllister Marina in Richmond Hill, and is slated to appear at several outdoor events throughout the year.

“Boating is my passion and I know the difficulties of finding good quality, affordable sunglasses for when you’re on the water,” Claudio said. “That’s why I started EDB: to fill the gap in the sunglass  industry."
