A South Bryan woman told deputies Sunday evening that a man wearing a clown mask drove past her and her daughter on Highway 144 near Steeple Chase Lane.

The incident occurred around 7:45 p.m., according to a report from the Bryan County Sheriff’s Office.

The woman told deputies she and her daughter went for a walk and as they were heading up their driveway she heard a vehicle on Highway 144 that sounded as if was “traveling at a high rate of speed.” The woman added that the vehicle slowed down as it approached, and when she and her daughter turned to look they said the driver was wearing a black and white clown mask.

The report goes on to say the vehicle turned around and passed back by the women. The complainant said the vehicle appeared to be an older model white pickup truck, possibly a Ford F-150 extended cab, with a white tarp or some other type of material covering the rear right side window of the cab. She was not able to obtain a license plate number.

Deputies checked the area but could not locate the truck.
