The third annual “Team Matt Knight” fishing tournament will be held noon to 6 p.m. on April 29 at WaterWays Township.

The event is held in honor of local resident Matt Knight, who was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2015 and insisted that proceeds go to benefit the American Cancer Society rather than his personal medical bills. The 2016 outing raised about $5,000.

Cost is $45 per adult and $30 for kids ages 8 to 11. Admission is free and there will be games, food and retail vendors, a silent auction and a 50-50 raffle on site. Sponsorships are also available.
