The Richmond Hill Bryan County Chamber of Commerce  has postponed all March Chamber events. The postponed events include, ribbon cuttings, Business After Hours, Sheriff Forum, and conference room bookings.

The chamber is also updating open/closed schedules of area businesses on its Facebook page

In Pembroke, all scheduled events are being postponed until further notice. This includes the Sheriff Candidate Forum, the Easter Eggstravaganza, the Spring Yard Sale, and the Downtown Hoedown. 

The Downtown Development Authority of Pembroke is updating open/closed schedules of Pembroke businesses on its Facebook page.

The Richmond Hill YMCA will operate on an adjusted schedule, opening and closing one hour earlier to provide staff time to clean and sanitize the facility fully each day.  At this time, all group exercise classes, youth and adult programs including child watch and youth sports have been cancelled. The wellness center will remain open to members.Y Before & After School Enrichment will be closed beginning March 17th until further notice.

United Way of Coastal Empire cancelled its Annual Meeting and Awards Luncheon scheduled for March 26th amid the COVID-19 concerns. The organization is prepared to support its partner agencies who are working on the front line to help affected individuals and families. Additionally, the United Way 211 call center continues to connect callers to local resources, such as food banks, childcare centers, utility assistance, and more. Individuals who need help can call 211, an information and referral helpline that connects residents to local health and human services. 211 is also available online at www.uwce.org/211.

The Monster Truck Spring Nationals at Oglethorpe Speedway in Pooler, slated for March 27-29, has been moved to June 26-28. All tickets purchased will be honored for those dates. Tickets will continue to be sold for the new dates. For more information, call (912) 964-8200.

Exchange Club of Brunswick has postponed Rodeo at the Beach March 20 & 21.

The Dolphin Project is postponing their April 4th Coastal Connection event at the Richmond Hill City Center.

The Bryan County Republican Convention, planned for March 21, is still being held per state rules. However, no one is to attend in person. To be a delegate for the district or state convention call Karen Hewitt at 912-665-2943.
