On Wednesday morning, Kroger staff and regional executives hosted a ribbon cutting to officially celebrate its latest capital investment in its Richmond Hill store, valued at $1.35 million.
Customers were greeted with fresh, colorful décor and a new kitchenware department, as well as updated produce, deli and bakery departments. The renovations also feature a new Murray’s Cheese Island--exclusive to Kroger locations.
“We want to create an environment where our customers can have a fresh, clean shopping experience,” said Tammie Young-Ennaemba, manager of corporate affairs for Kroger’s Atlanta Division.
At the ribbon cutting, Young-Ennaemba thanked Kroger’s customers and its Richmond Hill staff, and emphasized Kroger’s efforts to support the local community, such as through its partnerships with local food banks such as Eleos Compassion and Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia.
“This is not just a capital investment, it’s a community investment”, said Young-Ennamemba.
“As an employer, food processor, retailer, healthcare provider and more, we recognize the importance of continued investments in the communities we serve.”
