Gunter selected to represent Pembroke AL Post 164 at Boy’s State

Members of American Legion Post 164 in Pembroke selected Colton Gunter, standing, left, to attend this year’s Boys State Leadership program for 2022. 

Colton’s parents are Trace and Pam Gunter of Pembroke. 

He was selected by Bryan County High School Counselors’ office for meeting the Boy’s State criteria and having the leadership character for such a program. He is also a cadet in the Bryan County High School Jr. ROTC Program.

 The week long camp is at Gordon State College in Barnesville, Georgia. The leadership camp is a practical government course focusing on development working knowledge of government and the political process by organizing a mythical 51st state. The students will learn law and the court system within Georgia and its political history. 

The camp dates are June 12-18.
