Fort McAllister’s 158th Winter Muster is the annual reenactment of the end of Sherman’s March to the Sea and the last battle fought in Georgia. Two days of activity will be held Friday and Saturday, Dec. 9 and 10 at the state park in Richmond Hill.

Throughout the day on Saturday there will be skirmishes, cooking, medical, and small arms demonstrations with the final battle culminating at 4 p.m.. Guided tours will be offered on Saturday at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., with a special tour just for kids at noon.

This year there will also be evening encampment tours at 7p.m. on Friday and Saturday nights. Experience the magic of Fort McAllister lit by only lanterns and fire light guides you through a night in 1864.

Dec. 10 Guided Tours 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Dec. 10 Children's Tour 12 p.m.
Dec. 10 Final Battle 4:30 p.m. (must arrive before 4 p.m. for admittance to the final battle)
Dec. 10 Post Battle Evening Encampment Tour 7p.m.
