A lawsuit has been filed against the Angel Learning Center in Richmond Hill for the alleged abuse of a child.

The center was located at 465 Harris Trail Road before closing its doors in February 2020 after losing its license. See previous story here.

According to a press release from Morgan & Morgan law firm, "In February 2020, Jacquesha Mack learned that some of her son’s daycare teachers at the facility had allegedly been locking the child in the bathroom throughout the day. Those teachers were immediately fired after review of the videotape, and the incident was properly reported to the Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning. Soon after, the Angel Learning Center’s license was revoked and forced to close."

The law firm presented a copy of the complaint (attached at the bottom of this story) and included a statement from Morgan & Morgan attorneys John Morgan and William Degenhart:

“Like many working parents, Ms. Mack trusted that the childcare providers at her son’s daycare would provide a loving and safe environment. According to the lawsuit, the Angel Learning Center allegedly violated that trust and put the safety of the children at risk. As a result of their alleged negligence, Ms. Mack’s child has suffered long lasting emotional and physical distress. We will fight to hold the center accountable and ensure that no other child faces abuse from these providers.”
