The J.D. Harn Industrial Park in Pembroke is gaining a new tenant.

Savannah Global Solutions, and Brazil-based CZM announced this morning the formation of a new manufacturing joint venture in Pembroke and plans to make improvements to the former Oldcastle Precast plant for the location of a manufacturing and assembly facility.

According to a press release from the Development Authority of Bryan County, the new facility will employ about 50 people for production and assembly to serve domestic and foreign markets.

The new facility, once at full capacity, will become one of  Pembroke’s largest employers.

"The city of Pembroke is excited to welcome Savannah Global and CZM to our community," said Pembroke Mayor Mary Warnell. "Our city has worked very hard over the past few years to attract new jobs and investments into our community. This announcement today is a product of those efforts and we look forward to helping both Savannah Global and CZM grow and prosper in Pembroke."
