Home health group donates for physicians

In celebration of Doctor’s Day on March 30, THA Group made a donation to the American Cancer Society on behalf of the physicians with whom the company closely works.
Cancer has touched almost everyone personally or professionally, and all physicians likely have diagnosed or treated the disease at some point in their careers.
“As a full-spectrum, home-health-care company, we have the privilege to work in partnership with physicians to care for their patients in the privacy and comfort of their homes,” said Kathy Piette, THA Group vice president of Customer Communications. “Many of our patients and their families suffer from the direct or indirect effects of cancer. What better way to salute our physician partners on this special day than to make a donation in their name to help find a cure for a disease that touches every individual in health care.”
THA Group is a family of companies comprised of Island Health Care, Independent Life at Home, Ideal Aging and Island Hospice (a not-for-profit 501(c)3). It was the first home-health company in the Coastal Empire and Low Country to implement telemonitoring as a standard of care.
THA Group, which has an office in Richmond Hill, has been locally owned and operated for more than 15 years.
