From the Bryan County Sheriff’s Office reports:

Simple assault: Man stated that his neighbor was having some trees cut down by a tree service company when one of the workers backed in his yard close to a sprinkler line. The complainant asked them to be careful and not run over the lines, but another worker from the tree service whom the complainant assumed was the owner came by his house and yelled from the road. The man then exited his vehicle and came into his yard and got in the complainant’s face, saying “who the fuck you think you’re talking to” while making aggressive movements.

Matter of record: Woman reports that she received an anonymous letter via mail stating that she has been neglecting her children. The complainant advised that she is a travel nurse and travels between Georgia and California once a month for anywhere between 3 to 7 days at a time and when she travels she leaves her 3 children in the custody/ protection of her mother (grandma).

The complainant stated that she believed the letter to be from her sister, who she has had previous issues with, but could not prove that it was her due to the letter being anonymous.

Matter of record: Woman reports money being taken out of her account ($9,550.93) through Walmart and placed for immediate delivery to Miami. The items for the fraudulent amount of money are as follows: (4) XBOX S, (3) XBOX X, 5 Playstations, and 4 Meta Quest VRs.

Theft by taking - firearm: Woman reports that she believes her great niece stole her revolver-style handgun. She did not give anyone permission to use/ possess her firearm. The complainant recently moved and did not find it while cleaning her old house in preparation for the move.

Harassment: Man reports that an individual has been posting videos on social media and slandering him and the Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, where the complainant is the pastor. The complainant states that the man is claiming he practices witchcraft (amongst other things) and is posting this on social media.

No insurance, speeding: Driver stopped for going 67 MPH in a 45 MPH zone; did not have insurance.

Underage possession of alcohol: Officer observed a dark colored SUV parked behind the tennis court bathrooms at Duval Henderson Park. A 12-pack of “Twisted Teas” on the passenger-side floorboard was visible. Some were missing from the case, and some appeared to have been spilled. A juvenile claimed possession of the vehicle, stated that he and his friend (another juvenile) were watching a football game, then went to get tacos, and were just arriving back.

The juvenile showed signs of impairment after sobriety testing.

Speeding, license suspended: Driver stopped for going 65 MPH in a posted 45 MPH zone. License was suspended and the driver had warrants for her arrest through both Bryan and Liberty County.

Animal complaint: Man states that he saw two unknown pitbulls run through his yard. He immediately locked his own dogs inside and grabbed his 12-gauge shotgun, fearing the pitbulls might attack him. He began searching for the pitbulls but was unable to find them.

No insurance, license: Officer observed a vehicle on GA-30 eastbound make a wrong turn through a roundabout and started heading eastbound in the westbound lane. There was no traffic coming in the westbound lane and the officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop. The driver did not have a driver’s license or valid insurance for his vehicle.
