BCSO blotter: Prom party busted, porch fire, lost tags

From the Bryan County Sheriff’s Office Reports:

April 13: 

DUI (under 21, alcohol):

• Deputies respond to a home where a juvenile called stating he was at a “prom after party” and the homeowners “kicked everyone out.” A second juvenile then reported that his friends were stuck in a ditch off Old Cuyler Rd.

April 13:

 No driver’s license, open container of alcohol in vehicle

 • Driver arrested for the above offenses.

April 13:

 Animal complaint: 

The complainant stated that his mother informed him there were several American Pitbulls near her front porch in the yard as she was attempting to leave for the store. He advised that his mother has medical issues and would be unable to defend herself if the dogs became aggressive. He further stated that this has been an ongoing issue and that the dogs’ owner consistently fails to keep them properly contained. He then said that animal control has been contacted multiple times regarding this issue, but no action has been taken.

April 13: 

• Matter of record: Deputies respond to the area of Dixie Road in response to shots fired.

April 13 

• Fire (structure): Man reports that when he came back to his home at 9:00 p.m., he noticed that the left wall lantern light on his porch was on fire, which he extinguished immediately. He recalled that there was a bird’s nest on top of the light fixture, and he believed that the heat from the light ignited the bird nest which caused the fire. As a result of the fire, the complainant’s wall lantern was damaged, which partially affected about 12 inches of his vinyl ceiling and the wall near the light fixture. There was minor damage in his attic as well.

April 14

 • Criminal trespass: Complainants report that a man was driving their ATV on Bell Rd., damaging the roadway.

April 14: 

• Failure to maintain lane, too fast for conditions: Driver and his truck found in a ditch.

April 14:

• Warrant executed: warrant executed for a Bryan County man found by Chatham police.

April 14:

• Disorderly conduct: Woman reports that her ex-partner was threatening to fight her and burn her house down. She did not want to press charges, but wanted him to leave for the night.

April 14: 

• Lost/mislaid property: Deputies respond to a man who lost tag decals for both of his vehicles.
