From Bryan County Sheriff’s Office reports:
Deputies were sent to a North Bryan address on July 1 regarding a “fight in progress.” There, they met with a man who said “everything was good and that there was a miscommunication between the two parties.”
He then told his story. “He said he found a dog a year ago, he stated he posted the dog (online) and no one claimed the dog so he kept it,” the report said.
The man said the dog got loose, so “he went looking for the dog at several houses and finally found it at the (address of the report). He then stated he walked with one of the residents to retrieve the dog.”
The other man then told his story, saying “his dog had been gone for a year and finally came back home this morning. He believed someone was trying to steal his dog so he shot at the ground to stop (the first man) from taking him. He said he and (the first man) had worked it out and everything was okay.”
The first man then said the second man “wanted $1,200 for the dog but he took $200 instead, so he paid him through (an app). The dog left with him and a report was written.”
