 October 25

Siblings report receiving harassing messages and violent threats from an ex-classmate on social media. Driver arrested for speeding (going 94 MPH in a 55 MPH zone) and not having a valid driver’s license.

Woman reports battery, stolen goods by partner. Declined to press charges, instead just demanding the stolen items be returned to her. Driver stopped for not having a working passenger’s side headlight. Driver was confrontational, telling the officer that he “knows the law” and “can drive with one headlight.” Driver refused to provide his drivers’ license, and was then placed under arrest for obstruction (failing to identify himself). License was later found in a search, which revealed that the driver also had a suspended driver’s license.

Woman reports that the neighbor’s dogs are “a nuisance” to the neighborhood, citing knocked down trash cans, and ripped up decorations in her mother’s yard. The dogs are identified as a black Great Dane, a black and white Bulldog, and a brown Poodle.

October 26

Woman charged with DUI refusal and Open Container Of Alcohol in Motor Vehicle.

Deputies respond to a stolen license plate from a truck in a back lot.

Man placed under arrest for warrants related to cruelty to animals.

October 27

Man stopped for driving 70 MPH in a 45 MPH zone. Vehicle found with suspended registration, and the driver also had a warrant for his arrest.

October 28

Man charged for failure to maintain lane, speeding, DUI, suspended license, open container of alcohol in vehicle, and obstruction of law enforcement officers (refusing to do sobriety exercises).

Man arrested on Hwy 17 (SB) for driving with a suspended license, no insurance, and improper tag display.

October 29 Woman arrested for speeding (81 MPH), DUI, having an open container of alcohol in her car, and failure to maintain her lane while driving.

Man arrested for speeding (114 MPH in a 55 MPH zone) and DUI (multiple substances). The man said that he didn’t drink, and refused an alco-sensor test.

Warrant executed on Richmond Hill man who refused to show up to court.

Man stopped for failing to stop at a red light, was also found to have no drivers’ license or valid insurance. Man sent to Bryan County Jail, given citations for failure to obey traffic control device, driving without a license, suspended registration, and no insurance.

At the intersection of US-17 and I-95, a man makes an improper U-turn, and is stopped by a deputy. The man claims he didn’t see the “No U-turn” signs because he was distracted on his phone. The driver was also found to have a suspended driver’s license. Charged with Driving with a Suspended License, and Improper U-Turn.

Deputies respond to a report of a vehicle in a ditch at Hwy 280/Hwy 204 in Bryan County. Driver involved was reported to have a history of drug use, including cocaine. After being treated by EMS, the man said “like I said, something took over my head and told me to drive off the road and I’m glad it did.” Man sent to Bryan County jail, issued citations for failure to maintain lane and driving under the influence of drugs.

Man arrested on Hwy 119 for driving with a suspended license, no registration, and no insurance.

Woman reports that her neighbor keeps raking pine needles on her property and breaking her solar panels.

Woman stopped at I-95 N (mile marker 88) for speeding (105 MPH in a 70 MPH zone). Also issued a citation for driving under the influence of drugs.

October 30

Man driving along Hwy 17 charged with a DUI, failure to maintain his lane, open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle, and no driver’s license.

Woman reports a fraudulent phone call claiming that she had a warrant for her arrest for failing to show up to jury duty, and the caller was also asking for money.

Man reports a stolen firearm from his residence, purchased on Oct. 19 and last seen Oct. 29. Firearm is a Glock model 44, .22 caliber handgun, serial number AHLF952.

Man reports a stolen jump box from his truck, which was later pawned in Statesboro by the man who stole it.

Deputies respond to a woman saying that her brother is threatening her son.

October 31

Man stopped for speeding (going 72 MPH in a 55 MPH zone) and was later found to not have a driver’s license.

Deputy responds to a report of a theft. Victim says he is missing two yellow rubber air hoses, which were located in his shed at his residence. The victim also reported several miscellaneous keys which were also taken from his shed.

Officers dispatched to a report of a runaway juvenile. Woman reports that her daughter went missing, and was last seen in Savannah. The juvenile is a Black female, 5 ft. 3 in. tall, with black hair and brown eyes. A report was written up.

Mna reports that a package he was expecting from UPS may have been stolen by someone. UPS says that the package was delivered on the 25th of September, but he never received it. The package contained a 9-inch IPad. A report was filed.

A 1972 Chevrolet Corvette was reported stolen, and was suspected to be located in Bryan County.

Abandoned car with no insurance found near Black Creek Road. Vehicle was towed.

Man stopped for failing to maintain lane, arrested for DUI.

Private property crash at Hyundai Megasite reported.
