From the Bryan County Sheriff’s Office Reports:

Oct. 3: Vehicle driving along Hwy 17 South had no lights on; driver found driving under the influence of alcohol (DUI).

Oct 3: Two men argue over a gate leading to a common water access area.

One man built the gate to prevent further damage from off-road vehicles; the other man argues that it’s not up to him to block entry to a common area that everyone in the neighborhood is entitled to access.

Oct 3: Warrant executed for an employee who works at the Dollar General in Ellabell; warrant issued from FBI-Savannah; the man arrested was sent to Chatham County Jail.

Oct. 3: Driver reports that while traveling, a vehicle in the right lane had a floor jack fall out its bed. The floor jack then struck the complainant’s vehicle, disabling her vehicle.

Oct. 3: Woman reports that her son had been messaging someone, but she did not know who it was. The sender identified themselves as a 37-year-old woman named Clara who is from Singapore and works in California. In these messages, no inappropriate pictures or texts were sent.

The complainant was shaken, thinking that the person might know where she lived or have more personal information about her son.

Oct. 4: Driver on I-95 Northbound going 110 MPH in a posted 70 MPH zone.

Oct. 4: A black moped with no tag failed to maintain lane; driver did not have a helmet either, and was driving under the influence. (DUI-less safe, alcohol) Oct 4: While responding to a burglar call, a man was found passed out in the driver’s seat of a blue Ford truck. The police searched the vehicle with permission from him, and found some unused needles and a shotgun under the back seat.

The driver admitted to being a convicted felon, and to using methamphetamine the night before. A bag with a white crystal substance was also found in the man’s front pocket, which tested positive for meth.

Oct. 4: Woman reports that she is being “harassed” by the Black Creek Golf Club and its employees, saying that the employees are purposefully blowing pesticides and grass clipping into her backyard and pool. She also stated that the leaf blowers the employees are using are over 100 decibels and hurt her ears, and that cars are always parking on the grass at the golf course. The complainant stated she does not like the cars parked on the grass and the cars are not allowed to.

Oct. 4: Vehicle driving down Hwy 17 Southbound failed to maintain lane; driver found under the influence (DUI).

Oct. 5: Vehicle driving along SR-25 Northbound stopped for not having insurance and a suspended registration; driver placed under arrest.

Oct 5: A couple at the Woodlands Suites (Ellabell) argued over an alarm clock that displayed the wrong time; during the argument, the boyfriend left the hotel on foot.

Oct. 6: A vehicle fire was observed in the area of Bill Futch Rd. and Lee Dr. The driver advised that he was traveling down Bill Futch Rd when he noticed that his gauges were flickering and noticed smoke coming from the dashboard. He then pulled the vehicle over and contacted 911.
