From the Bryan County Sheriff’s Office Reports

DUI, failure to maintain lane, expired registration: A vehicle was found stuck in the median guard wire on Interstate 16. The driver was found to have been under the influence, and the car’s registration expired.

Driving with suspended license, registration: Driver stopped on Hwy 204 for having suspended registration. The driver also had two suspensions on his license.

Matter of record: Officer responds to an attempted theft of a camper trailer. The owner said that their home camera caught some headlights around 02:30 but nothing else. The trailer did not move at all. There were visible tire marks, in the grass, from a vehicle. The owner informed the officer that the camper is not yet paid off but he believes that he is not behind on any payments.

Entering automobile with intent to commit theft or felony: Man reports that someone went into his wife’s vehicle the night prior. He went outside this morning and noticed that everything had been riffled through in the car. About $15 and a small bag containing a house key were missing. There are no cameras outside the home.

Animal complaint: Man advised that his daughter was running outside when she was bitten by a dog on her left buttock. The juvenile had blood on her shorts where she was bitten. She was checked by EMS, refused care and was transported to Urgent Care by her mother. The owner of the dog, a Brittany dog, advised that she opened the door to her house momentarily and that was when her dog left and eventually bit the juvenile. Animal Control advised that they would speak with the dog owner at a later date.

Harassing communications: Man reports that he began receiving hate comments from a user on X (formerly known as Twitter). The user, who goes by “H-townC”, started to harass him on X on other social media sites. The user posted a picture from his Facebook of him and his daughter, and began to imply he was a pedophile and into sex trafficking. The complainant reported the user to X for breaking the site’s guidelines and said he has stopped communication online with said individual.

Damage to property: A hit-and-run was reported at Fishtales; complainant reports that someone hit his 2019 BMW while it was in the parking lot across from the pier. The vehicle was last seen on Sept. 21 with no damage, but was parked next to a white Suburban. The complainant said he left to get on a boat around 10:30 this morning, and once he got back, the damage was there. Damage was seen on the rear driver’s side quarter panel and bumper.

Warrant executed: A white sedan approached the stop sign at the intersection of Black Creek Church Rd. The driver of the vehicle failed to come to a complete stop prior to turning right onto Black Creek Church Rd. Driver was found to have an active and valid warrant for Failure to Appear (Possession of Methamphetamine) out of Dawson County, Georgia.
