Bryan County Schools had four students and two staff members test positive for COVID-19 during the week of Aug. 24-28, according to information posted by the district Monday.
Ten students total have been quarantined as a result of “school based close contact,” according to the first COVID-19 weekly case update released by the school system.
Some 6,621 students are attending classes at 11 schools around the county. The district also has approximately 1,400 employees and a total enrollment of nearly 10,000 students, though about a quarter have chosen to enroll in online classes due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
