The League of Women Voters of Coastal Georgia will host an online candidate forum for the 2020 race for Bryan County Sheriff from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 1.

Candidates Mark Crowe and Al Hagan will participate.

The forum will be moderated by Dr. Bertice Berry.

“Candidate forums are one of the core functions of the League of Women Voters dating back to our founding 100 years ago,” said Rebecca Rolfes, president of LWVCGA. “There is no better way for voters to see and hear the candidates, ask questions about the issues that matter to them and make informed choices come election day.”

Candidate forums are among most popular events the League sponsors. With a digital format rather than face-to-face, the League hopes to reach an even larger audience with candidate information before early voting starts Oct. 12. Forums will be held via Zoom and Facebook Live. Registration is free at lwvcga.org.

The Bryan County News is a media sponsor of the forum.

Voters can submit questions for the candidates in advance via a Google form during registration. Questions are due by Sept. 25.
