A total of 16,470 students enrolled during the 2020 spring semester at The University of Alabama were named to the dean’s list with an academic record of 3.5 or above or the president’s list with an academic record of 4.0 (all A’s).

Local students named to the dean’s list are Lily Buchholz and Nkenga Thomas, both of Richmond Hill.

Local students named to the presidents list are Mackenzie Frei and Gallentia Smith, both of Richmond Hill.

The UA dean’s and president’s lists recognize full-time undergraduate students. The lists do not apply to graduate students or to undergraduate students who take less than a full course load.

Janine Fontaine of Richmond Hill was recently named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at Drury University in Springfield, Missouri.

Students on the dean’s list earned a grade point average of 3.6 or greater (on a 4-point scale) while carrying a full-time course load of 12 or more semester hours.

Emily Grayson Perry of Richmond Hill has been named to the dean’s list at the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee, for the spring 2020 term.

To earn a place on Sewanee’s dean’s list, a student must earn a minimum grade point average of 3.625 on a 4.0 scale. Perry is the daughter of Nancy and Douglas A. Perry.

Radha Patel of Richmond Hill received in May an Associate in Science in dental hygiene from the School of Health Sciences at the University of New Haven.
