The Savannah Harbor Foundation has named Richmond Hill resident Dan Pavlin, vice president of commercial lines at Bernard Williams and Company, to its board of directors.

Founded in 2001 as a response to 9/11, the Savannah Harbor Foundation is a nonprofit that helps support local children’s charities with family-oriented, community events.

As a board member, Pavlin will help the foundation in its efforts to organize and present events that benefit local charities. Events such as the Gingerbread Village and Competition, AquaCurean and Boat Parade of Lights have benefited organizations including Greenbriar Children’s Shelter, Two Hundred Club of the Coastal Empire, Policeman’s Foundation, Give One Glove, and Boys and Girls Club.
