Sept. 15: Care Packages for Troops – In honor of National Assisted Living Week, the residents Magnolia Manor invite the citizens of Richmond Hill to join them in collecting items for and assembling care packages to send to soldiers overseas. Enjoy coffee, cookies, crafts and conversation as you work with seniors for this charitable cause. Event begins at 3 p.m. at Magnolia Manor. Sept. 17:
Top of the Rock 5K Fun Run  –
Soldiers, families and friends are invited to run together “just for the fun of it” at the Top of the Rock 5K Fun Run, a fall tradition at Fort Stewart. Run will begin at 8 a.m. on post, between the Quick Track and Newman Fitness Center. Registration is free and will take place at the race site from 6:00-7:45 a.m. Call 767-8326 for more information.

Sept. 18-25:
30th Annual Savannah Jazz Festival –
Become part of a swinging Savannah tradition. Coastal Jazz Association presents an eight-day celebration of all genres of jazz, from Dixieland to funky “gutbucket” blues. The festival includes an array of performances, jam sessions, film screenings and even a children’s jazz day. Events are free and open to the public. Richmond Hill Farmers Market  –
With cooler weather comes new seasonal produce. Find out what autumn offerings local farmers and artisans have in store at the Richmond Hill Farmers Market from 4-8 p.m. at the J.F.
