Aug. 25: Dolphin program – Visit the Richmond Hill Historical Museum at 7 p.m. for a special program hosted by The Dolphin Project. Learn about the bottlenose dolphin and how you can get involved with researching and protecting them. People of all ages, regardless of experience, are welcome to attend and learn how to become a trained team member. Research workshop will follow the program. Aug.  27:
Kids Fishing Tournament –
The Bryan County Bass Masters Fishing Club will hold its annual Kids Fishing Tournament from 8 a.m. to noon at J.F. Gregory Park. Kids will have the chance to win prizes and trophies, including a $100 prize for catching fish bearing a sponsor’s tag. Hot dogs, hamburgers and soda will be served. Participants should bring their own
pole and tackle, but bait will be provided. All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Project Linus Blanket Day – Bring your knitting, crocheting and sewing supplies to Richmond Hill Public Library (9607 Ford Ave.) for an afternoon of creating blankets for children in distress. Everyone is invited to participate – there will be tasks available for volunteers of all skill levels. Quilting kits also will be available. Event will take place from 1-5 p.m. and refreshments will be served. Come for a short time or stay the whole afternoon. To learn more, email parallelinfo@yahoo.com.

Aug. 28:
Elegance in the Park –
This bridal show, hosted at the Richmond Hill City Center from 12 to 4:30 p.m., will showcase the latest trends in weddings and features a bridal fashion show, demos from wedding service providers and more.
