What if someone runs into you?
pastor corner

While recently on a missions trip to Cuba, I just happened to look at one of my old shirts that I used for painting. It had stains on it from work done on previous trips.

It reminded me of a shirt I had seen at a flea market back in the late 1980s, which read "I ran into Tammy Faye Baker." Her husband got involved in a scandal, which brought down their ministry, and she, being part of that ministry, took a lot of the heat. She was a lady who wore an excessive amount of make-up so someone came up with the shirt to humiliate her.

As I thought about this, the question came to me, what if someone ran into you or what would they mean when they would say, "I ran into (you fill in your name)"?

Would it be something with the intention to humiliate you or to give you praise? Would it be something that would end up allowing the Lord to get praise or would it make him look bad?

If you are a follower of Jesus, there are people watching you and many are looking for something that is genuine and real.

Another question is, are they seeing Jesus through you?

We are told that we are to be salt and light to those around us. May God help us to live such lives that will draw others to the one we serve.
