Early entries are being accepted for the 17th annual Illuminated Christmas Parade, set for 6:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6, in Hinesville.
Early bird entries will be accepted for the reduced rate of $45 for for-profit businesses and $35 for nonprofits through Friday, Oct. 11.
Entries must be received by Friday, Nov. 29. Registration forms are available online at www.libertycounty.org or at the Liberty County Chamber of Commerce office, 425 W. Oglethorpe Highway in Hinesville.
In honor of Fort Stewart having almost all 20,000 troops on the ground for the first time in more than a decade, the parade theme is “A Red, White & Blue Christmas … A Salute to Our Troops.”
“The significance of having all of the 3rd (Infantry Division) soldiers back in Liberty County was without a doubt the driving factor behind choosing this year’s theme,” chamber CEO Leah Poole said. “Honoring the soldiers and families who sacrifice so much was the top priority for the parade planning committee.”
