Tour of homes

Planning for the Richmond Hill Holiday Tour of Homes has begun. This popular event takes place every two years in connection with Holiday on the Hills. This year the tour will be on Sunday, Dec. 2,, from 1-5 p.m. This fund raiser benefits our community through several service organizations such as Richmond Hill Historical Society, The Garden Club, Friends of the Library and St. Anne’s Parish Council of Catholic Women. Volunteers from these organizations work throughout the year preparing for the tour of beautifully decorated private homes and churches. The homes are staffed with volunteers the day of the tour to provide you with highlights of the homes and its history.

In past years we have had a wide variety of homes. Some of the featured homes included, a lighthouse, a log cabin, an old barber shop, an antebellum mansion and other historical homes and buildings. This year this event promises to equal the past presentations.

St. Anne’s Catholic Church PCCW, will again be hosting a light lunch at the church which will be included in the price of the tour.

The Tour of Homes Committee is looking for local homes to be open for the tour. Please call Teresa Timmons at 665-2449 directly if you would like to have your home on the tour.
