Bryan County 4-H is holding a Boston butt sale May 21. Pickup locations will be First Baptist Church in Richmond Hill from 9 a.m. to noon and Pembroke Pharmacy from 10 a.m. to noon. 
Advance tickets are $20 and can be purchased at the 4-H Office in Pembroke, 131 N. College St., or in Richmond Hill by calling 572-2929. A 4-H’er from the neighborhood may also be selling tickets. Boston butts can also be purchased the day of the sale. 
Proceeds from the fundraiser will go toward the cost of activities such as camps, conference and competition events for local 4-H’ers.

Ministry luncheon

The Savannah/Chatham Area Women’s Christian Ministry is having a “Let’s Celebrate Military” luncheon at noon May 25 at Carey Hilliard’s banquet room in Savannah.
Benny Curl with Byrd Cookie Co. will share a variety of ideas for eating and celebrating, and Angelisa Bryant of Savannah will provide musical entertainment.
The guest speaker is Joyce Stryker of Columbus who is the Stonecroft Ministries regional administrator for Christian Women’s Club. Her topic is “The Toughest Thing in Life to Learn is which Bridge to Cross and which to Burn.”
The cost of the event is $11.25, which is inclusive.

Boston butt sale
Purchase a Boston butt for $20 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. May 27 at the Richmond Hill Senior Center at 185 Ball Park Road.

Scouts sale
Boy Scouts Venture Crew 400 will host a baby back rib roast from 3 to 6 p.m. May 28 at Richmond Hill Presbyterian Church at 12965 Hwy. 144.
The cost is $25 for a slab of ribs or a Boston butt.

Dolphin Project

The Dolphin Project is hosting a dolphin program and training workshop from 10 a.m.- noon May 28 in the Mercer Auditorium at Memorial Health University Medical Center’s Hoskins Education Center.
The project is in need of skippers with boats, photographers with 300mm lenses on their cameras and team leaders and assistants to record the data.

Memorial observance
Richmond Hill will hold a Memorial Day observance at 11 a.m. May 30 in J.F. Gregory Park.
The observance will include various speakers, music and the laying of a wreath at the Veterans Monument. The public is invited.
