The Dollars for Dylan fundraising group is taking item donations for a garage sale set for 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 16 under the pavilion at J.F. Gregory Park in Richmond Hill.
A drop-off bin is located in the Century 21 Ways Station parking lot in Richmond Hill.

Council meeting
The Pembroke City Council will hold its regular monthly meeting at 7 p.m. Monday at City Hall.

Board meeting
The Bryan County Board of Commissioners will hold its regular monthly meeting at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at the county courthouse in Pembroke.

Canoe trip
Fort King George will conduct a canoe trip down the Altamaha River on Cathead Creek at 8:30 a.m. July 16 starting at Fort King George Historic Site Museum. The cost is $35 per person.
The trip will take participants through 19th-century rice fields teeming with wildlife and history, then down Cathead Creek and finishing at Skippers Seafood dock. Guided interpretation will be provided along the way.
Canoes, paddles and life jackets are furnished. Guests are advised to bring plenty of water, snacks and sunscreen. Bugs rarely are a factor on these trips. Reservations are required.

Day Office
A representative from 1st District Congressman Jack Kingston’s office will be in Richmond Hill for a Congressional Day Office to meet with Bryan County residents who need assistance with a federal agency.
The Day Office will be from 11 a.m. to noon July 21 in the conference room at Richmond Hill City Hall, 40 Richard Davis Drive.
“We hold these ‘day offices’ throughout the district to make it more convenient for citizens who may find it difficult to get to one of my offices,” Kingston said. “I hope residents Bryan County will stop by and speak to Trish DePriest if they need help or just want to express their concerns.”
