The Richmond Hill Public Library will be closed from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday for a staff development workshop. The library will be open from 2 to 7 p.m. that day.

Meeting changed
The Bryan County Board of Education will hold its regular monthly meeting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the new Bryan County Board of Education Office at 8810 Hwy. 280 in Black Creek.

Holiday events
Corinth Baptist Church has several events planned for the holidays.
The adult cantata “Glory in the Highest” is at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 18. 
A Christmas Eve candlelight service is at 6 p.m. Dec. 24.

BEREA meeting
The Bryan-Evans Retired Educators Association will have its monthly meeting at 10:30 a.m. Dec. 13 at Bryan County Elementary School in Pembroke.
The program will be presented by the BCES Chorus, directed by Lynn Wright. Special guests will be Bryan County Superintendent John Oliver and Evans County Superintendent Dr. Joy S. Collins.

Oyster Roast
The Richmond Hill Senior Center will host its second annual Oyster Roast with Kissing Santa at 2 p.m. Dec. 16 at the Bryan County Health and Rehab Center at 144 Carter St. in Richmond Hill.
The festivities will start at the rehab center with Santa before relocation to the senior center at 189 Ball Park Road for the oyster roast, line dancing and more.

Lights show
Homes of Integrity will host the second annual dancing-lights show from 6-10 p.m. through Jan. 2 at its model home in Richmond Hill.
The light show is free. Park in front of the model home at 65 Eddenfield Lane in Richmond Hill and tune the radio to 107.1 FM to enjoy the sights and sounds of Christmas.

Club fundraiser

The Pembroke Garden Club is having a winter raffle. Tickets are $2 each or three for $5 and are available from club members.
The grand prize is a garden dump cart with accessories. The second prize is a 30-inch fire pit with a poker, and the third prize is a garden tub full of accessories.
The drawing is Jan. 19 at Dixie Harn Community Center, 91 Lanier St., but the winner does not need to be present to win.
