Christian cheer

Christian Cheer Camp will be held at the Faith Harvest Sanctuary in Ellabell from July 28-Aug. 1, 9 a.m.-1 p.m. for ages 5-12. The fee is $35, with $25 for each additional sibling. Children are asked to bring a lunch, drinks will be provided. Space is limited, first 50 children signed up are in. Call Melissa Hewitt at 858-2215 or Jessie Holcombe at 663-1878 to register.

 

Christian school

They are two interested people who have started a Christian school, grades 3-8, with your children in mind. Pastor anniversary

The Canaan Missionary Baptist Church invites everyone to celebrate the second anniversary of their Pastor, Rev. Floyd Hartford. The special guest church will be the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. N. N. Boles bringing the message. Please join them July 20 at 5 p.m., 1072 Ford Avenue.

 

Extravaganza

The Pembroke Assembly of God is planning its second annual Back to School Extravaganza.

The Extravaganza will start at 5 p.m. on Aug. 3 and they will be handing out free school supplies to the first 100 children in grades K-5th. Items to be distributed will include rulers, crayons, pens, pencils, colored pencils, pencil cases, scissors and notebook paper. Everyone in the community is invited to attend the event, which will also feature a water slide, hot dogs and hamburgers and ice cream sundaes. Homecoming

First Baptist Church of Blitchton will celebrate Homecoming on Sunday, July 20 with a special service starting at 11 a.m. Former pastor Rev. Walter Jarrell will be the guest speaker, with vocalist Shelby Lynn providing special music. A fellowship dinner will be enjoyed after the service. All members and former members are invited to attend.

 

Mill Creek

Mill Creek Baptist Church announces the following: July 24, the Church Youth Department will have its annual Vocational Bible Study, 6-9 p.m. nightly; July 26-27, the Church Junior Mission will have its annual Family and Friends picnic, 9 a.m.-2 p.m.; July 27, the group will have their annual Family and Friends Program, beginning at 3 p.m.

 

Dinners

The August Birth Month is having a variety of dinners July 18-19 at Bryan Neck Missionary Baptist Church, 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Dinners consist of the following: fried fish, fried shrimp, BBQ ribs, baked chicken, potato salad, collard greens, red rice and corn bread. VBS Beach Party

Everyone is invited to attend the Richmond Hill Presbyterian Church Vacation Bible School, "Beach Party: Surfin through the Scriptures," beginning July 27-31 and ending Aug. 3. The program is a celebration of God’s love and each lesson will be supported with Bible stories, music, crafts, games and snacks. There will be classes for ages birth through adult. Registration forms are available at Richmond Hill Presbyterian Church. Registration is recommended but not mandatory. Beth Moore

A Beth Moore Living Proof Live Simulcast is being co-hosted at St. Elizabeth’s Episcopal Church on Hwy. 144. Moore is a dynamic Bible teacher and will be joined in this simulcast by Travis Cottrell, a dynamic worship leader. The event will take place Friday, Aug. 1, at St. Elizabeth’s. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., event starts at 7:30 p.m. and runs until 9:30 p.m. Another event is slated for Saturday, Aug. 2, when doors open at 8:30 a.m. The event will be from 9:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Tickets are on sale now, $35 each.
