Information for parents about the film "The Martian":

Gore: A man is impaled by a piece of metal and must remove it. He then proceeds to perform makeshift surgery on himself. Some blood is seen coming from the wound. Characters get thrown from explosions and end up with facial injuries.

Language: Strong language is used a few times. The language is heard twice but mouthed as well. Some appears in text written with symbols instead of letters.

Nudity/drugs: A man walks out of the shower and is seen fully from the backside. Potatoes are dipped into what is said to be Vicodin, then eaten.
