Zachary Taylor of Richmond Hill has received the R.B. Whitehead Scholarship at Valdosta State University.

According to valdosta.edu, the scholarship’s recipient is selected by the VSU office of admissions based on various criteria, such as SAT or ACT scores and high-school achievements. The scholarship was started by the late Mr. and Mrs. R.B. Whitehead, who were donors to VSU.
