Each year, the faculty and staff recognize a teacher and paraprofessional who have shown outstanding dedication to the school, students, and other faculty and staff.

This year, Mrs. Vickie Collins, a 3rd grade teacher at Bryan County Elementary, and Mrs. Teresa Davis, a paraprofessional at Bryan County Elementary, were chosen by their peers to signify these honors.

Mrs. Davis, a 19 year veteran, said: "I enjoy working with the children and seeing the light bulb come on when they understand what you were trying to teach them."

Mrs. Collins, a second year teacher, said: "I believe that every child has the potential to be an awesome citizen in his or her community not just as adults but as children in their schools, homes, and neighborhoods; therefore, I set high expectations for my students. I encourage them to give their best effort in all their endeavors and to conduct themselves honorably in all they say and do. It is my hope to instill in their hearts to become the best they can be and share their best with others."
