Richmond Hill High School held off Wayne County 24-21 in the Wildcats’ home football opener Friday night.
The Wildcats improved to 2-1 with the win. Ashaud Roberson led RHHS with 151 yards and a TD on 27 carries, while completing one pass for 33 yards.
Richmond Hill, ranked No. 7 in the latest Atlanta Journal-Constitution Class AAAAAA poll, led Wayne County (1-2), a Class AAAAA, school 17-0 at halftime.
