This week, Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) CEO Walt Piatt presented the WWP Corporate Partner of the Year Award to Parker’s Kitchen, a nationally acclaimed convenience store company and food service leader that’s currently celebrating its 50th anniversary. WWP’s top national impact award recognizes Parker’s Kitchen’s ongoing commitment to helping veterans in need in Georgia and South Carolina.
During the event, Parker’s Kitchen also presented WWP with a record donation from the company’s latest round-up campaign to support local veterans. Parker’s Kitchen matched 25% of all customer round-up donations to amplify the impact and doubled the match to 50% in May in honor of National Military Appreciation Month.
Over the past three years, the company has donated a total of $1,035,000 to support local veterans, their families, and caregivers through Wounded Warrior Project.
“We are proud to recognize Parker’s Kitchen as Wounded Warrior Project’s Corporate Partner of the Year and grateful for their steadfast commitment to the warriors, families, and caregivers we serve,” Piatt said. “Their record-setting round-up campaign donation will help warriors reconnect to a life of hope and renewed purpose through life-changing programs. Partners like Parker’s Kitchen help ensure we bring every warrior home — mind, body, and soul — and we are deeply thankful for their support.”
Parker’s Kitchen first joined forces with WWP in 2024 to help provide life-changing services and programs to local post-9/11 veterans and the veteran- connected community.
“At Parker’s Kitchen, we share a deep commitment to making a transformative impact on the communities we serve and to helping local veterans who have bravely served our nation,” said Parker’s Kitchen Executive Chairman Greg Parker. “We’re incredibly grateful for the remarkable generosity of our customers throughout our latest round-up campaign. They understand that when you shop at Parker’s Kitchen, your money stays local and makes a positive impact right here in the community.”
Through the support of corporate partners like Parker’s Kitchen, WWP can continue delivering life-changing programs and services that empower warriors, families, and caregivers to thrive. WWP’s programs focus on mental health, financial wellness, physical health and recovery, long-term rehabilitative care, and connection with fellow veterans — all provided at no cost to the warriors and families who rely on them. Support from partners and customers helps fund these critical programs, changing and saving lives every day.
